Holiday Mouth Watering Apple Pie

Gold Medal Flour 3 Cups/2 Tablespoons more later for the Apple Mixture

Baking Powder 2 1/2 Tablespoon

Baking Soda 1 1/2 Teaspoon

Salt 3/4 tsp 

Butter 1/2 cup/1/8 cup more later for the Apple Mixture

Vanilla Extract 1 Teaspoon

Eggs 3

Sour Cream 1 Cup

Philadelphia Soft Cream Cheese 2 Tablespoons

Pam

Apples 6 cups Peeled, Cored & Sliced

Fresh Lemon 1/4 cup

Brown Sugar 3/4 cup

Cinnamon 1/4 cup

White Raisins 1/4 cup

Preheat your Oven 350 degrees.

In a very Large Bowl Gently Blend with a Large Spoon the 3 Cups of Flour, Baking powder,Baking Soda, Salt 1/2 cup of the Butter softened;then, add the Vanilla, Eggs, the Sour Cream, the Cream Cheese and blend gently and well. Put sprinkled Flour on a large cutting board and take 1/2 the dough make a ball by rolling in the sprinkled flour(add more if dough is too sticky) and roll out with a rolling Pin until smooth and flattened. Spray Pam on a large pie on the bottom and sides. Then, put the dough in. Cut off any excess dough;if any put back in the bowl with the remaining dough

Wash the Apples then peel and take off the pits and apple core and cut in slices. Immediately, squeeze the lemon on the apples.                                                                                                                        

Mix separately in a small bowl well the Brown Sugar and Cinnamon. Then, add the Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Mixture to the Apples. Add the raisins, the 2 tablespoons of Flour. Then put the apple mixture in the large pie pan that already has the dough. Then, dot with the 1/8 cup of Butter.

Then, take the remaining dough and roll it into a ball on the large lightly sprinkled cutting board. Place on top of the apples already in the large pie pan. Take your hands and crimp the sides with your fingers and place your finger all around the pie edge. Take a knife and make a few vent holes on the top of dough to release the steam. Bake 350 degrees until the top crust looks light golden brown;it should be about 45-55 minutes(please, put on your timer) depending on your oven and altitude. Serve warm with Vanilla Frozen Yogurt.
